Woman fights off hoodie mugger

A woman was dragged to her knees as she fought off a hoodie clad yob who tried to snatch her bag.

The 62-year-old woman, who was walking home from work on Monday (November 17), refused to give in to the thug.

He tried to grab the handbag as he ran past in Faversham Close, Tring, at 6.30pm.

The attacker, described as a white male aged between 15 and 20, was wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up. He approached the victim from behind but made off empty handed when the woman put up a fight.

Neighbourhood Watch liaison officer Andy Reynolds said: "She ended up on her knees but didn't let go of her bag."

The woman suffered grazing to her knees.
