Tring's Traditional Christmas Festival got a big thumbs up from little ones.
Ten-year-old Ahmed Al-Maaelanli particularly enjoyed helping out Santa who was on hand to collect Christmas wish lists for the big day.

Mayor of Tring Mike James opened the event in High Street on Friday and then handed over to youngsters George Murrell from Long Marston Primary School and Lilly O'Dell from Bishop Wood School to lead a countdown to the Christmas lights switch on.

The pair had won a competition to each design their own Christmas light decoration which are now hanging in Church Square.

Event organisers Tring Together have hailed the night a success and Mel Matthews from the group said: "The feedback from visitors, entertainers and businesses has been extremely positive and plans are already in motion for next year's event."

Big kids also had a great time and bride and groom June and Sam Sharp who had married earlier in the day at the Rose and Crown in High Street, enjoyed a romantic ride on the big wheel.

Crowds were entertained by street dancers, musical theatre, morris dancers and band performances and shops stayed open late to join in the festive fun.
