Torrential rain didn't stop close to 100 kids turning out for a free football skills session last week.
Youngsters from all over Dacorum came to Jarman Park last Tuesday to take part in the FA Tesco Skills event and was hailed as a success by coaching co-ordinator on the day Kevin Green.

"It was fantastic," he said. "We had a really good turnout considering the weather. It was hammering it down all day!

"Nobody could believe how many turned up. There a few really good kids down there too. It was all really positive."

Activities on the day included target practice, testing shot power with the aid of a speed gun and four-on-four mini matches.

The kids, who were all between five and 11 years old, were also given the chance to win a training session at a Premiership ground with Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard.
