Great Britain's national baseball team will be pitching up camp in Hemel Hempstead later this month.
The side, in preparation for the forthcoming European Championships, will come to Grovehill Park on Saturday, July 19 to take on the British under 18 side in a friendly game.
This is the latest development in a fortnight of good news for Herts Falcons Baseball Club, having recently received a £10,0000 donation from the National Lottery, which it will be using to improve the club's existing facilities and develop a second baseball diamond.
Club President Aspi Dimitrov said: "It will be a great event.Especially as there will be Little League games in the morning with the main event taking place in the afternoon.
"I'm extremely excited."
This weekend the usual Herts Little League season takes a break as two all-star Hertfordshire teams travel to Coventry for the British PlayBall World Series.
The Herts Red Sox and the Herts Indians will head up the M1 to take on some of the best youth baseball teams from around the country, with sides from as far away as Exeter and Sunderland all looking to return home with the World Series title.
In the group stages the Herts Red Sox have been drawn with the Nottingham Pirates and the Sunderland Giants, while the Herts Indians will face the Windsor Astros and the Gloucester Orioles.
After the group stage the teams then move to the semi-finals and then the finals, with a good finish in the group critical for the teams to challenge for the World Series title.
The event will also include the Pitch, Hit & Run as well as a Home Run Derby competition.
It will all take place at Woodlands School, Broad Lane, Coventry.
The Little League is still looking to take on players for the current season.
