Teen cyclist, 13, suffers ‘serious injuries’ in crash involving Mini

A teenage cyclist has suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a car in Berkhamsted this morning.

The 13-year-old boy was taken to Watford General Hospital for further treatment following the collision between the bike and a silver Mini.

Police were called at 6.50am to the town’s High Street, between Queens Road and Stag Lane, and the road was closed until 9.50am to allow investigations to take place at the scene.

The driver of the Mini was not injured.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call PC Ben Harper from the Herts, Beds and Cambs Roads Policing Unit using the non-emergency number 101.
