Police investigate mystery call after officers raid Hemel house

No further action will be taken against the occupants

Police are investigating a mystery call that resulted in a Hemel Hempstead home being raided by armed police and a dog unit earlier today (Sunday).

At around 11.25am, a call was made to Hertfordshire Police's control room stating that a disturbance was taking place at an address in Barnacres Road.

It was reported that threats were being made and that there had been mention of a weapon during the incident.

Officers attended, including firearms officers as a precaution, and detained the occupants of the address while a thorough search was carried out, with the assistance of the dog unit.

No weapon was found and there was no evidence of any offences being committed, no further action will be taken against the occupants at this time.

Police are now making enquiries to trace the circumstances around the initial call.
