She says the dog poo is on the street, paths and grass verges

A woman from Hemel Hempstead is urging dog walkers to clean up after their pets after seeing the amount of dog poo on the streets recently increase.

Jane Brooks wants to highlight the problem as she describes it as 'the most appalling issue of dog fouling' she has ever seen.

She said: "It is literally everywhere, in every street, on the paths, in the car park to our flats, on every grass verge.

"When we pick up our own dog poo we have to dodge the mess from other dogs.

"I am a member of a Facebook group and I am aware that this is a real issue for many.

"I just want to ask people to clean up after their dogs."

There are around 430 dog waste bins across Dacorum. If you do not clear up after your dog, you can be issued with a fixed penalty notice, or you can be taken to court and face a fine.
