Organisers were forced to turn away people who swarmed to a remembrance event for a young Hemel Hempstead man on Bank Holiday Sunday.
The charity DJ night, held in memory of Stephen McFarlane, was at capacity by 8.30pm and forced to operate a one-in, one-out policy.

Mr McFarlane was aged just 29 when he died tragically at his Garland Close home last month.

His friends raised more than £1500 at the old town's The Venue bar on Sunday and the cash will be given to a charity to be chosen by Mr McFarlane's family.

Organiser Brett Brown said he planned the event to celebrate the life of his school pal and show Mr McFarlane's family that he would be remembered.

He thanked everyone who gave their services for free on the night, including Apsley wholesalers Gil-lec, of Ebberns Road, Esporta gym, the owners of The Venue and DJ Phantasy.

Mr McFarlane died on Wednesday, July 23. He is believed to have committed suicide.

The coroner's office has given the cause of his death as suspension.
